Network18 Restructures Leadership to Strengthen Digital and Multi-Platform Growth

Network18 has expanded responsibilities across its editorial and business leadership, aligning teams more closely with its multi-platform strategy spanning digital, social, connected TV (CTV), and linear television.

As part of the restructuring, Smriti Mehra, S Shivakumar, and Mitul Sangani will now work directly with Rahul Joshi, MD and Group Editor-in-Chief. The move is aimed at streamlining decision-making and driving stronger integration across content and distribution platforms.

The reorganisation also brings key reporting changes. Leaders such as Prabhat Chatterjee (Forbes India) and Arun Thapar (AETN-18) will report to Smriti Mehra, focusing on revenue growth, marketing, and product initiatives. Mallika Nath Handa will lead special projects, including new shows and non-linear content formats, further strengthening the network’s innovation pipeline.

On the revenue side, Sidharth Newatia (CRO-ILC) and Pankaj Soni (Head of Marketing-ILC) will report to Mitul Sangani, with a focus on expanding reach and monetisation, particularly in Tier II and Tier III markets.

The network is also consolidating its branded content business by integrating Moneycontrol’s operations with News18 Studio, signalling a push towards unified content solutions. Additionally, Connected TV, social platforms, and international business operations will now see closer leadership alignment under Pranav Bakshi.

Overall, the restructuring reflects Network18’s intent to build a more agile, data-driven, and platform-first organisation, capable of scaling content, revenue, and audience engagement across a rapidly evolving media landscape.
