News18 Marathi hosted the Navi Mumbai Conclave on February 19 in Navi Mumbai, convening policymakers, urban planners, real estate leaders and infrastructure experts to deliberate on the region’s accelerating urban transformation. The event spotlighted Navi Mumbai and Raigad as emerging growth corridors poised to redefine Maharashtra’s smart city ambitions.
The conclave created a dynamic forum for discussions around urban development, redevelopment frameworks, infrastructure expansion and sustainable city planning. Key insights came from Ravindrakumar Mankar, Chief Planner at CIDCO, alongside Prakash Baviskar of Baviskar Group and Rasik Chauhan of Bhoomi Homes, who addressed planning priorities and structural challenges shaping the city’s next phase.
Redevelopment and MIDC-linked opportunities were explored by Dr. Kailas Baburao Shinde, Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, with contributions from Manish Bathija of Paradise Group and Prashant Patel of Delta Group, focusing on policy alignment and private sector collaboration.
Infrastructure-led growth remained central to the dialogue, with Ganesh Shete from Panvel Municipal Corporation, Devang Trivedi of Progressive Group and Karan Sabhlok of Kamdhenu Realities highlighting connectivity projects and regional expansion.
A special fireside chat titled “Navi Mumbai–Raigad: Building the Smart and Sustainable Cities of Tomorrow” featured Aseem Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra, who shared policy-level perspectives on urban transformation.
