News18 and Lions Clubs International return with the third edition of SheShakti in 2025 – this time expanding the platform regionally for the first time. The celebrations will begin in Mumbai on July 31, followed by the flagship event in Delhi on August 21. The theme for this year, “From Breaking Barriers to Building Bharat,” highlights the critical role women play in shaping a stronger, more inclusive India.
The Mumbai chapter will spotlight women leaders from Maharashtra driving impact in fields such as innovation, policy, entrepreneurship, entertainment, and social transformation.
Esteemed speakers at the summit include top government officials like Devendra Fadnavis, CM of Maharashtra; Sujata Saunik, IAS (Retd.); Ashwini Bhide, MD, Mumbai Metro Corporation; and Sunaina Tomar, Addl. Chief Secretary, Gujarat. The event will also host international dignitaries including H.E. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Thailand’s Ambassador to India, and Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Slovenia’s Ambassador to India.
Prominent business leaders such as Naiyya Saggi (Edition), Priyanka Salot (The Sleep Company), Harsha Mundhada (Inflexor Ventures), Priti Rathi Gupta (LXME), and Dr. Neerja Birla (Aditya Birla Education Trust)will also take the stage, alongside investors and fund managers like Laxmi Iyer and Roshi Jain.
Voices from media, sports, and arts will include actors Nimrat Kaur, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Renuka Shahane; RJs Malishka, Stutee, and Archana; Olympian Anjali Bhagwat; and para-badminton champion Manasi Joshi. Social changemaker Sarita Sonawale will also be present.
