Nike Partners with Sisters in Sweat to Empower Women Through Sport Across India

Sisters in Sweat (SIS), India’s leading women-focused sports and wellness community, has announced a multi-year partnership with Nike to expand access to sport for women across the country. Founded in 2017 by fitness coach Swetha Subbiah and footballer Tanvie Hans, SIS has grown into a vibrant network of over 10,000 women in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad, promoting physical activity in safe, inclusive spaces.

Through this new collaboration, Nike will support SIS initiatives with footwear, apparel, and sport expertise, starting with a multi-city women’s football tournament. The partnership aims to inspire more women to play, connect, and thrive through sport by building sustainable, community-led programs across urban centres.

Tarundeep Singh, General Manager, Nike India, shared, “Sisters in Sweat exemplifies the strength of women uniting through sport. At Nike, we believe in the transformative power of movement, joy, and community-and this partnership brings that to life for thousands of women across India.”

For co-founder Swetha Subbiah, who has been a Nike trainer for over a decade, the partnership marks a significant milestone. “This feels like a full-circle moment. To go from being part of Nike’s journey to now building something so impactful together is incredibly special. We’re not just promoting sport-we’re creating a community where women claim their space with confidence.”

The partnership reaffirms Nike’s continued investment in women’s sport in India, aligning with SIS’s mission to make fitness and sport accessible, empowering, and fun for every woman.
