Full-year profit jumps 81.3% to ₹72.07 crore
Beauty and fashion e-commerce platform Nykaa, operated by FSN E-Commerce Ventures, has reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year 2025.
In Q4 FY25, Nykaa’s advertising expenditure (adex) surged by 31% to ₹244 crore, up from ₹186 crore in the same quarter last year. This increase reflects the brand’s intensified marketing efforts, especially across its beauty and fashion verticals. The beauty segment accounted for ₹157 crore of the adex, while the fashion vertical contributed ₹84 crore. Marketing costs made up 29.4% of the company’s Net Sales Value (NSV) during the quarter.
Q4 FY25 Performance
Nykaa’s consolidated profit soared to ₹20 crore in Q4 FY25, marking a 193% increase from ₹7 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations also posted robust growth, rising 23.6% year-on-year to ₹2,061.76 crore from ₹1,667.98 crore.
FY25 Annual Performance
For the full fiscal year 2025, Nykaa’s net profit rose 81.3% to ₹72.07 crore, compared to ₹39.74 crore in FY24. This performance was driven by increased gross merchandise value (GMV) of Nykaa-owned brands, improved margins on premium offerings, and higher ad income.
The company’s beauty vertical saw substantial growth, with revenue rising 24.6% YoY to ₹1,894.76 crore in Q4 FY25 (from ₹1,520.21 crore). Strategic brand partnerships played a key role, including launches with global beauty names like Yves Saint Laurent, NARS, Kerastase, Eucerin, GHD, Armani Beauty, Supergoop, and Nexxus.
Owned Brands Performance
Nykaa’s own beauty brands recorded a GMV of ₹1,700 crore in FY25. Leading the pack was Dot & Key, which surpassed ₹900 crore in GMV. Nykaa also expanded its stake in the D2C skincare brand from 51% to 90% during the year.
Kay Beauty, co-created with Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif, delivered a GMV of over ₹240 crore.
The cumulative customer base for Nykaa’s beauty vertical grew to over 34 million, reflecting a 28% YoY increase.
Fashion Vertical Update
The fashion segment also performed steadily, with Q4 FY25 revenue growing 10.7% year-on-year to ₹161 crore. For the full year, fashion revenue rose 19% YoY to ₹674.69 crore, up from ₹568.30 crore, bolstered by enhanced marketing and increased service income.
