Ogilvy India has begun its 2026 work year by honoring one of Indian advertising’s most influential figures, the late Piyush Pandey, at its Mumbai office. In a deeply symbolic gesture, the agency has permanently installed a photograph of Pandey at the office entrance, ensuring his presence continues to welcome employees, partners, and visitors every day.
The photograph, captured by renowned photographer Suresh Natarajan, is accompanied by Pandey’s most enduring piece of advice- “Front foot pe khelo”-a philosophy that defined his approach to creativity, leadership, and life. The placement at the entrance reflects Pandey’s role as both a mentor and a guiding force for generations of Ogilvy talent.
The unveiling was led by the youngest employees from each department, a deliberate choice that highlighted Pandey’s lasting influence across age groups and creative generations within the agency. The moment reinforced how his thinking continues to shape Ogilvy’s culture, even years after his passing.
Sharing the tribute on LinkedIn, Ogilvy India’s chief creative officer Harshad Rajadhyaksha described the installation as a way of seeking Pandey’s blessings as the agency steps into a new year of work. He added that Pandey’s presence would continue to inspire everyone who walks into the Ogilvy Mumbai office, serving as a daily reminder of courage, originality, and integrity in creative thinking.
The tribute reflects Ogilvy’s belief that while campaigns evolve and technology changes, foundational values remain timeless. By immortalizing Piyush Pandey at its doorstep, Ogilvy has ensured that one of Indian advertising’s greatest storytellers continues to set the tone-every single day.
