Veteran journalist Padmaja Joshi has joined NDTV 24×7 as Managing Editor and Primetime Anchor, bringing with her a wealth of experience across formats, languages, and leading news networks.
Padmaja has held significant editorial and on-air roles throughout her career. At India Today, she anchored the prime-time show People’s Court, managed the day-band editorial output, and contributed to scripting for primetime, known for her ability to combine empathy with editorial rigour.

On her new role, Padmaja said, “Journalism isn’t about making noise. It’s about making sense. NDTV has always embodied that kind of journalism-measured, meticulous, meaningful. I’m proud to be part of it.”
Welcoming her, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said, “Padmaja brings rare editorial steadiness-an instinct for news, leadership in the newsroom, and unwavering credibility. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”
