Goibibo has named cricketer Rishabh Pant as its new brand ambassador, launching a clever campaign that features both Pant and cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar. The advertisements playfully incorporate Gavaskar’s famous “Stupid, Stupid, Stupid” commentary phrase, using it to highlight poor travel planning decisions.

Created by Restless, the content division of MagicCircle Communications, the campaign leverages the chemistry between the two cricketers to appeal to diverse audiences.

Raj Rishi Singh, Goibibo’s Chief Marketing Officer, explained that Pant’s “spontaneous style of play, playful attitude, and vibrant personality” made him the perfect representative for the brand.

Pant expressed enthusiasm about working with Gavaskar, noting he was “pleasantly surprised by how well Goibibo has turned this conversation into a playful take on travel plans.”

Showing good sportsmanship, Gavaskar commented, “I have always believed players have every right to comeback at comments about them… I see the funny side of the concept and I don’t mind fun being poked back at me.”
