Pee Safe drives on-ground engagement to promote toilet hygiene on World Toilet Day

Pee Safe has launched an extensive on-ground awareness campaign for World Toilet Day, aiming to educate consumers about toilet hygiene and the importance of using Toilet Seat Sanitizers regularly. While the digital film Clean Is Not Sanitised set the tone for the initiative, this year’s primary focus is offline activation across varied real-world environments to encourage direct consumer interaction.

At the core of the campaign is a simple, habit-building tongue twister-“Spray. Sit. Flush. Spray.” Designed as an easy reminder, it reinforces the practice of sanitising toilet seats before and after use. The message was amplified through posters and hygiene rule cards placed across all activation sites, ensuring consistent communication.

As part of its corporate outreach, Pee Safe distributed Toilet Seat Sanitizers at multiple office locations. Employees were educated about the difference between visibly clean restrooms and truly sanitised ones, stressing the need for sanitising shared toilet seats during every use.

“World Toilet Day reminds us that basic hygiene practices are fundamental for health and well-being,” said Vikas Bagaria, founder of Pee Safe. “With our offline initiatives and the ‘Spray, Sit, Flush, Spray’ mantra, we aim to make toilet hygiene simple, practical, and routine, empowering people to stay protected wherever they go.”

The campaign also reached women travellers at petrol pumps and rest stops, where female drivers received complimentary Toilet Seat Sanitizer sprays to help them feel safer using public restrooms.

A notable activation took place at a pickleball event featuring a UV-lit toilet installation that revealed hidden germs on surfaces. Visitors learned about the “toilet sneeze” effect-how germs spread during flushing-and the need to sanitise not just seats but also high-touch surfaces like flush buttons, faucets, and door handles. Attendees also received “Drink Freely” water bottles, reinforcing confidence in using public facilities.

The initiative extended to college campuses, including MDI and BITS Pilani, where students participated in interactive demonstrations promoting long-term hygiene habits and proper sanitizer usage.
