Om Jha has been elevated to the position of director – global media capabilities at PepsiCo, marking a significant milestone in his 5.5-year journey with the beverage and snack giant. Previously, Jha served as director – media, data, marketing capabilities and partnerships, where he made substantial contributions to the company’s marketing operations.
In a heartfelt note announcing his promotion, Jha reflected on his journey: “5.5 years back when I had started with PepsiCo, I was excited and nervous. I was stepping in to do something I had never done before.” He expressed gratitude to Vishal Kaul for “hiring me and introducing to the world of possibilities” and thanked George Kovoor and Anshul Khanna for “letting me define my own role with every passing year.”
As he transitions to his global role, Jha admits feeling “super excited and a little bit nervous” about joining the Global Media & Transformation Team.
Jha brings a diverse professional background to his new position. He began his career as a section engineer at Mahindra Group before moving to Abbott Laboratories. His career path then led him through Idea Cellular, KPMG India, Airtel, GroupM, and Disney Star before joining PepsiCo.
During his tenure as head of media and partnerships at PepsiCo, Jha was instrumental in connecting the company’s iconic brands with consumers through innovative applications of media, data, and technology. He also managed end-to-end procurement and negotiations for all advertising and marketing elements, driving both efficiency and effectiveness for the company’s marketing initiatives.
