Philips India has appointed Rasha Thadani as the brand ambassador for its hair styling range, marking a new chapter in the brand’s efforts to connect with Gen Z and young millennial consumers. The announcement coincides with the launch of its new digital film, ‘Designed for Indian Hair’, which highlights Philips’ India-first approach to hair styling solutions.
Set in a creatively imagined “Indian hair court”, the film uses humor and satire to put everyday hair challenges-such as humidity, heat, hard water and genetics-on trial. Through this narrative, the campaign emphasizes the need for styling tools that deliver effective results while maintaining hair health, a concern that resonates strongly with Indian consumers.
The campaign showcases Philips’ advanced hair styling portfolio, including the hair straightening brush, hydrating hair dryer, One Stroke Straightener and 2-in-1 Air styler. In the film, Rasha Thadani appears as the Philips Hair Expert, reinforcing the brand’s positioning around credibility, performance and thoughtful innovation. Her association brings a fresh, contemporary voice to the brand, aligning with evolving beauty expectations that value authenticity and care-driven solutions.
Commenting on the campaign, Smit Shukla, Country Head – Philips Personal Health, said that hair styling in India is shaped by distinct climate conditions and hair types. He added that the new film reflects this philosophy, while Rasha’s presence helps the brand connect more meaningfully with today’s consumers.
