Praveen Someshwar has stepped down as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HT Media Group after guiding the organization for nearly seven years. Today marks his final day with the media conglomerate before he transitions to United Spirits (USL), where he will begin a new chapter on April 1.
Someshwar joined HT Media in August 2018 following an impressive 24-year career at PepsiCo, where he held various leadership positions throughout India and Asia. His most significant role at PepsiCo was as senior vice president and general manager for North and South East Asia operations, where he successfully drove growth for both food and beverage divisions from his base in Hong Kong.
During his tenure at HT Media Group, Someshwar implemented a strategic vision centered on digital transformation. His leadership focused on preparing the company for future challenges by modernizing content delivery systems, developing innovative revenue models, creating advanced advertising solutions, and enhancing cross-platform integrations.
