Prime Video has strengthened its add-on subscription ecosystem in India with the launch of Goldmines Play, offering audiences easy access to a wide catalogue of Hindi-dubbed South Indian films and popular Hindi movies within the Prime Video app. The move reinforces Prime Video’s strategy of becoming a one-stop destination for diverse content through unified discovery, billing, and viewing.
Goldmines Play, operated by Goldmines Telefilms, is priced at ₹39 per month, with an introductory offer of ₹29 for the first month. Subscribers can access the service directly inside Prime Video, eliminating the need for separate apps, logins, or payment cycles. The library includes well-known titles such as Rangasthalam, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Bigil, Sarileru Neekevvaru, Sarrainodu, Magadheera, along with Hindi favorites like Hera Pheri, Vaastav and Apne. The platform also plans to roll out select digital premieres.
The launch marks a significant step in Goldmines Telefilms’ digital expansion. Having built a strong presence across satellite television and YouTube with a clear focus on mass-market Hindi-dubbed South Indian cinema, Goldmines Play now aims to deepen its OTT footprint by tapping into Prime Video’s large subscriber base.
Commenting on the partnership, Gaurav Bhasin, head of Marketplace and Prime Video Ads, India, highlighted how add-on subscriptions have become a powerful launchpad for both local and international streaming services. He noted that Goldmines Play enhances Prime Video’s regional and dubbed content offering, while giving viewers greater choice and convenience.
Manish Shah, founder and CEO of Goldmines Telefilms, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s long-standing focus on scale, accessibility, and audience-first storytelling. By joining Prime Video’s marketplace, Goldmines Play aims to take its high-impact entertainment to wider audiences across screens.
With this addition, Prime Video continues to position itself as a central OTT hub, simplifying how Indian viewers discover and consume content across multiple streaming services.
