The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) has unveiled a refreshed official logo ahead of its fifth season, signaling its return to competitive action after a seven-year hiatus. Scheduled to resume in January 2026, the league will once again feature a mix of Indian and international wrestling talent, marking a renewed chapter for professional wrestling in the country.
The new logo draws inspiration from the traditional red and blue wrestling mat, symbolising the sport’s core while reflecting a sharper, more contemporary identity. The redesign represents a broader reset of the league’s vision, structure and operations following changes in ownership and management. PWL is now operated by ONO Media, led by partners Akhil Gupta and Dayaan Farooqui, after a comprehensive restructuring of its governance framework.
According to the league, the relaunch is centred on building a transparent and professional ecosystem that prioritises athlete welfare and long-term sustainability. The revised structure aims to create a stronger bridge between grassroots wrestling programmes and international-level competition, offering emerging wrestlers structured exposure and career progression.
PWL’s revival is being undertaken in affiliation with the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), ensuring that the league operates within national governance norms while contributing meaningfully to the development of the sport. This alignment is expected to lend credibility to the league and provide a stable platform for athletes and stakeholders alike.
Commenting on the new identity, Akhil Gupta, CEO of Pro Wrestling League, said the logo represents a clean slate and a commitment to professionalism, transparency and long-term vision. Chairman Dayaan Farooqui added that the new logo marks the beginning of a new era, built on trust, opportunity and ambition, with athletes placed firmly at the centre of the ecosystem.
With its refreshed identity and renewed focus, PWL aims to re-establish itself as a credible and sustainable platform for Indian wrestling.
