Badminton champion PV Sindhu has joined Himalaya Wellness Company’s “Muskaan” initiative, partnering with Smile Train India to support children born with cleft conditions. Since 2016, Muskaan has facilitated over 2,000 free cleft surgeries across 600+ districts in India.
At an event in Hyderabad, Sindhu emphasized how confidence shapes a child’s future, stating, “Every child deserves that strength, and access to cleft care plays a vital role in ensuring they can grow up without limitations.”
The panel discussion featured Rajesh Krishnamurthy from Himalaya, who highlighted their vision of “Wellness in every home, Happiness in every heart,” and Mamta Carroll from Smile Train, who stressed that timely cleft treatment ensures children can lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
As Muskaan’s ambassador, Sindhu will drive awareness and encourage public participation in this life-changing initiative. Himalaya is supporting the cause through its Premium Lip Care Pack, with ₹5 from every purchase funding cleft surgeries.
