Rajasthan Royals has named str8bat as its Official Skilling Partner for IPL 2025, becoming the first IPL franchise to fully integrate AI and deep-tech into its cricket operations.
The partnership centers on str8bat’s innovative camera-less bat sensor technology, which captures crucial batting metrics including bat speed, back-lift angle, timing, and sweet spot percentage. These insights are delivered in real-time, allowing coaches to develop personalized training plans and data-driven strategies.

The str8bat sensor has become integral to Royals’ talent scouting, with every trial batter using the device to ensure objective evaluation. These data sets now influence scouting decisions, auction picks, and player development pathways.
