Razorpay Unveils “Get Paid, Not Played” to Fix India’s Cross-Border Payment Pain Points

Razorpay, India’s leading full-stack payments and banking platform, has launched its latest campaign “Get Paid, Not Played”, spotlighting the widespread friction, hidden costs, and operational hurdles Indian businesses face while receiving international payments. The campaign addresses a core challenge impacting global ecommerce exporters, SaaS companies, freelancers, and digital agencies – the gap between India’s booming global opportunity and its outdated cross-border payment infrastructure.

India exported US$825 billion in goods and services last year and is poised to cross the US$1 trillion milestone by FY26. Yet, exporters across the country – from freelancers in Ahmedabad to creative studios in Pune – continue to battle unpredictable settlement timelines, opaque fee structures, and heavy documentation demands. Hidden deductions erode margins, delayed payouts disrupt cash flow, and compliance processes involving FIRC, IEC, and shipping bills weigh heavily on small teams.

Crafted in-house using AI, Razorpay’s campaign brings these pain points to the forefront while showcasing its upgraded international payments suite. The platform allows Indian sellers to accept payments like local businesses across global markets through cards, Apple Pay, or bank transfers in 130+ currencies including USD, GBP, and EUR.

Key features include:

  • Transparent pricing (1% for bank transfers; up to 3% for cards)
  • 24-hour INR settlements to remove cash-flow uncertainty
  • 90%+ success rates via in-house card switch and intelligent routing
  • Automated compliance for FIRC, IEC, and shipping-bill workflows, aligned with RBI/FEMA norms

Apuarv Sethi, Senior VP of Marketing, noted that the campaign reflects the emotional and financial toll of international payments, promising a simpler, fairer experience.

With this push, Razorpay aims to make cross-border payments a growth catalyst – not an obstacle – for India’s next generation of global-first businesses.
