Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has acquired a majority stake in Australia-based Goodness Group Global (GGG), marking its strategic entry into the Australian consumer goods market. The move reinforces RCPL’s ambition to build a global FMCG presence while staying true to its promise of delivering world-class quality at accessible prices.
The acquisition brings popular ‘Better-For-You’ beverage brands such as Nexba and PACE into RCPL’s expanding portfolio. PACE, a hydration brand co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins, is expected to benefit from RCPL’s extensive distribution and supply chain capabilities, particularly as the company plans to introduce these brands into new markets, including India.
This partnership strengthens RCPL’s focus on health-forward beverages, complementing its existing offerings such as RasKik and Sun Crush juices, zero-sugar carbonated drinks, and the herbal-natural beverage brand Shunya. With an established presence in markets like the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, RCPL continues to scale rapidly as a global FMCG challenger brand from India.
T. Krishnakumar, director at RCPL, described the acquisition as a bold step towards building a globally competitive FMCG enterprise. He highlighted how GGG’s innovation-led, health-focused brands would accelerate RCPL’s growth across international and domestic markets.
Echoing this sentiment, Goodness Group founder Troy Douglas emphasised RCPL’s strength as a strategic partner, noting the shared ambition to scale the ‘Better-For-You’ category across up to 50 western markets over the next five years.
Together, the partnership signals a decisive push towards global expansion, health-led innovation, and long-term brand building in the evolving FMCG landscape.
