Reliance’s Campa Enters Sri Lanka in Tie-Up with Ceylon Cold Stores

First international foray sees launch of Campa’s soft drinks and energy beverages.

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail, has announced the overseas debut of its iconic beverage brand Campa in Sri Lanka, through a strategic partnership with Ceylon Cold Stores, a subsidiary of the John Keells Group and a key player in the Sri Lankan beverage market.

The collaboration aims to leverage Ceylon Cold Stores’ deep distribution network and operational expertise to introduce Campa’s popular product lineup to Sri Lankan consumers. The launch portfolio includes:

  • Campa Cola
  • Campa Lemon
  • Campa Orange
  • Campa NRG Gold Boost
  • Campa Berry Kik (Energy drink variants)

Campa’s 250 ml bottles will be priced at Rs 100 (Sri Lankan rupees), positioning the brand as an affordable, everyday refreshment.

“We are excited to enter the Sri Lankan market with our valued partner, Elephant House Beverages. Campa is a heritage Indian brand with over 50 years of legacy and continues to enjoy consumer love. We see long-term potential for growth in the region,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director, RCPL.

Daminda Gamlath, President, John Keells Consumer Foods Sector, added, “Our goal is to build Campa into a household name in Sri Lanka, much like its legacy in India, by using our market reach and expertise.”

This launch follows RCPL’s recent tie-up with cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan to co-create and sell Spinner sports drinks in Sri Lanka at Rs 10 per 250 ml – a price significantly lower than global competitors.

RCPL has been scaling its FMCG ambitions aggressively. In FY25, it reported Rs 11,500 crore in revenue, with Campaand Independence brands crossing Rs 1,000 crore each in sales. The company’s retail reach also surpassed one million stores last fiscal.

The Sri Lanka entry marks a key step in Campa’s regional expansion strategy, signaling RCPL’s intent to evolve Campa into a strong South Asian beverage brand through strategic partnerships and value-driven offerings.
