Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) is set to revive the culture of live award shows with the Chetak SCREEN Awards 2026, airing on April 5 at 8:00 PM IST. The ceremony will be broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television and streamed simultaneously on Sony LIV, alongside a live showcase on YouTube-marking a significant shift towards real-time, multi-platform viewing.
Recognised as one of India’s most credible honours in cinema, the SCREEN Awards continue to celebrate excellence in storytelling while evolving with changing audience behaviour. This year’s edition promises a high-energy, star-led spectacle featuring hosts like Alia Bhatt, Farah Khan, Sunil Grover, and Zakir Khan-bringing together cinema, comedy, and pop culture on one stage.
Backed by the Indian Express Group, the awards maintain their credibility through a rigorous selection process led by the SCREEN Academy. At the same time, SPNI’s content-first, platform-agnostic strategy reflects a broader industry shift-where audiences expect to experience cultural moments live, across screens.
The initiative is further amplified through partnerships with Adani Airports as the OOH partner and The Award Gallery.
