Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has issued a stern warning to brands allegedly using her images without consent. Taking to Instagram Stories, she called out companies for featuring her photos-originally posted on her personal social media-on their websites without permission or securing proper usage rights.
Known for speaking up on matters that matter to her, Sonakshi shared her frustration after discovering her images on several e-commerce platforms. She pointed out the double standards, noting that while celebrities often credit brands when wearing their designs or accessories, the same respect isn’t reciprocated. “That’s stretching it a bit too far. Let’s keep things ethical, shall we?” she wrote.
Sinha made it clear she’s not taking the issue lightly. In a firm message to the brands involved, she stated:
“Basically what I’m saying is pull down my images before I start calling you out, or let me know where I can send my invoice, your call.”
Her post quickly gained support. Veteran actress Tabu reshared Sonakshi’s story on her own Instagram, echoing agreement with the message. The issue of image misuse has surfaced before, with celebrities like Anushka Sharma and Amitabh Bachchan previously calling out brands for unauthorized use of their likeness.
