The World Pickleball League (WPBL) has announced Sony LIV as its official digital streaming partner, marking a significant step in strengthening the league’s digital presence ahead of its second season. The exclusive partnership will ensure comprehensive coverage of WPBL Season 2, bringing the fast-growing sport to a wider, digitally engaged audience across India.

Season 2 of the World Pickleball League features seven teams owned by prominent personalities from the worlds of cinema and sport, including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Atlee, Rishabh Pant, Sunil Gavaskar, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh. The star-powered ownership, combined with high-intensity gameplay, continues to position WPBL as an exciting new-age sports property.

All 120 matches of the upcoming season will be streamed live and on demand on Sony LIV, a notable increase from the 90 matches played during the league’s inaugural edition. Spread across 13 days, Season 2 promises expanded competition, higher stakes and greater fan engagement. Viewers will have access not only to live matches but also to key highlights, exclusive moments and immersive content across devices.

Affiliated with the All-India Pickleball Association (AIPA), Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP) and the United World Pickleball Federation (UWPF), WPBL continues to build credibility on both national and global stages. The upcoming season will feature 56 top-tier players representing 18 countries, reflecting the league’s growing international appeal.

Gaurav Natekar, Founder and CEO of WPBL, said the partnership with Sony LIV aligns with the league’s vision of building a scalable, fan-first sports ecosystem. Echoing this sentiment, Rajesh Kaul of Sony Pictures Networks India highlighted pickleball’s rising popularity among urban audiences and reaffirmed Sony LIV’s commitment to delivering a seamless and immersive viewing experience.
