Tiigers of Kolkata has announced former India captain Sourav Ganguly as co-owner and brand ambassador ahead of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2026 season. The franchise is owned by Aksha Kamboj, executive chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures, and the announcement was made through Aspect Sports, the group’s sports arm.

Since the league’s inception, Tiigers of Kolkata has also counted actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan among its co-owners. The team competes in the ISPL, a tennis-ball T10 league built around the concept of structured street cricket. The league has attracted high-profile backing, with Sachin Tendulkar serving as an investor, brand ambassador and member of its core committee.
Ganguly’s association adds significant leadership experience to the franchise, drawing from both his illustrious playing career and his administrative roles in Indian cricket. The ISPL positions itself as a talent-identification platform, aiming to bridge the gap between informal street cricket and organised competitive pathways for aspiring players.
Under Aksha Kamboj’s leadership, Aspect Sports has been driving the development of the Tiigers of Kolkata franchise, with a focus on long-term team building, grassroots engagement and player development.
Commenting on the association, Kamboj said the franchise was honoured to welcome Ganguly, highlighting his legacy, leadership qualities and deep understanding of the game. She added that the partnership strengthens the team’s commitment to nurturing talent across eastern India and creating opportunities for players who may otherwise go unnoticed.
The franchise noted that Ganguly’s involvement is expected to further support its efforts in talent development, fan engagement and the broader growth of cricket through the ISPL format.
