Spotify has announced that it will raise the price of its Premium Individual subscription across select global markets starting September 2025. The new monthly cost will rise from €10.99 to €11.99 (approximately $13.86), impacting users across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The Swedish audio streaming giant said the price revision is part of a broader strategy to improve profit margins amid rising operational and employee-related costs.
All affected subscribers will receive official email notifications over the next month, informing them about the revised pricing and how it will affect their billing.

This price increase comes as Spotify works to balance its global user growth with long-term financial sustainability. Despite significant expansion in emerging markets and strong demand for music and podcast content, the company’s latest quarterly outlook fell short of analyst expectations.
Spotify attributed the earnings dip to higher tax expenses linked to employee costs, despite robust user engagement across its platform.
The revision reflects Spotify’s ongoing efforts to adapt its pricing models in line with evolving business demands and regional cost pressures. This marks another step in the company’s journey to ensure that scaling services globally remains both accessible for users and sustainable for business.
