Sudhanshu Vats, MD of Pidilite Industries, has been appointed Chairman of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) at its 39th AGM, as the body enters its 40th year. He succeeds Partha Sinha and will work alongside S Subramanyeswar (Vice-Chairman) and Paritosh Joshi (Honorary Treasurer). Vats emphasized the need for integrity and consumer trust in advertising amid evolving technologies. To mark its milestone year, ASCI announced initiatives including the AdWise literacy program for schoolchildren, Gen Alpha research, regional expansion, a resource hub on ad codes with Khaitan & Co., and collaborations like a podcast series with The Logical Indian and Marketing Minds.
