Sudhir Chaudhary Enters Film Production with ‘The Terror Report’ Sequel Project

Journalist and news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary has announced his foray into film production, marking a new chapter in his storytelling journey. The project, titled The Terror Report, is being developed in collaboration with Balaji Telefilms and Ellipsis Entertainment, and will serve as a sequel to The Sabarmati Report.

The film is expected to focus on a series of major terror incidents in India spanning nearly three decades, from 1998 to 2025. By building on the narrative of its predecessor, the project aims to present a deeper exploration of events that have shaped the country’s security landscape, blending real-world context with cinematic storytelling.

Chaudhary shared the announcement through social media, highlighting his transition from reporting news to creating long-form narratives through film. After years of on-ground journalism and delivering stories to audiences through television, he described this move as a natural progression in how stories can be told and experienced.

The project brings together an experienced creative team, with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor backing it under Balaji Telefilms, alongside Ellipsis Entertainment. The film will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan, with writing led by Aniruddha Guha.

With this venture, Chaudhary joins a growing list of media professionals exploring content creation beyond traditional formats. The Terror Report reflects an attempt to translate journalistic insight into cinematic storytelling, as the lines between news, narrative, and entertainment continue to evolve in India’s content landscape.
