Sunny Cooking Oil has unveiled its latest festive campaign titled “Letter to Bappa,” a heartwarming Ganesh Chaturthi film that blends tradition, nostalgia, and togetherness through the lens of food and family.
Conceptualised and produced by AlphaX, the three-minute film captures the essence of the festival from a child’s perspective. It follows a young girl returning from the city to her village, rediscovering the joy of family rituals, home-cooked meals, and the warmth of shared traditions. Her emotional letter to Lord Ganesha becomes the narrative anchor-merging the personal and spiritual while placing food at the centre of familial connection.
Sunny Cooking Oil’s brand message, “Life Aapki, Recipe Aapki,” is seamlessly woven into the film, highlighting the role of food in creating memories. Whether it’s preparing traditional modaks or elaborate festive feasts, the brand positions itself as a trusted companion in every kitchen moment.
“Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that unites families, and food plays a central role in those celebrations,” said Milind Pingle, CEO – Consumer Products Division, Frigorifico Allana Pvt. Ltd. “With this film, we aimed to capture the emotion of coming together—the joy, the laughter, and the magic that happens around a meal.”
Dorothy Rebello, Co-founder at AlphaX, shared the inspiration behind the film:
“This story was born from personal experience-watching my daughter’s wonder during Ganesh Chaturthi. That innocent affection for Bappa became the soul of the campaign. We wanted it to feel intimate, genuine, and rooted in everyday family life.”
At a time when Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as both a spiritual and social occasion, Sunny Cooking Oil’s campaign leans into the cultural truth that food is the heartbeat of every Indian celebration. By focusing on intergenerational bonds and culinary rituals, the brand reinforces its longstanding promise of being part of meaningful family moments.
The film is now live across digital platforms and aims to spark emotional resonance while amplifying the festive spirit in homes across India.
