CRED has unveiled a new brand film featuring actor, director, and orator T Rajendar, blending financial education with his unmistakable style. The campaign aims to promote the benefits of good credit behaviour, using TR’s charisma to simplify credit scores for audiences across Tamil Nadu.

Set against the backdrop of Chennai’s rising financial literacy, the campaign highlights key insights from a recent CRED–YouGov survey:

  • 65% of Chennai residents know their exact credit score – the highest among Indian metros
  • 52% actively use credit products
  • 46% manage finances through personal finance apps

With these numbers in mind, CRED’s campaign positions TR as the perfect voice to connect with this financially savvy audience. In his classic rhythm and rhyme, TR turns a moment of late-night scrolling into a whirlwind journey through CRED rewards-jewellery, holidays, gadgets, makeovers, and more-earned simply by paying bills on time via the app.

Launched yesterday, the film will run for six weeks across Tamil Nadu. The campaign is also active within the CRED app, offering exclusive rewards from local favourites like Butterheads, Sangeetha Veg, VS Mani, A2B, Bodycraft, Lakme, Cha Republic, GIVA, and others.
