Trent Ltd, the Tata Group’s retail arm and parent company of brands such as Zudio and Westside, reported a steady financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, marked by double-digit revenue growth and a sharp sequential improvement in profitability.

According to the company’s unaudited consolidated results, revenue from operations increased 10.1% year-on-year to ₹5,345.06 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to ₹4,656.56 crore in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, revenue grew 10.9% from ₹4,817.68 crore in Q2 FY26. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹5,363.85 crore, reflecting a 13.9% year-on-year rise.

Profitability strengthened during the quarter, with profit before tax (PBT) rising 4.7% year-on-year to ₹675.94 crore and surging 41.7% quarter-on-quarter. Net profit came in at ₹510.11 crore, up 2.7% from the year-ago period and 36.6% higher than the previous quarter. Profit before exceptional items and tax increased 11.4% year-on-year to ₹690.18 crore, despite an exceptional expense of ₹26.11 crore.

Commenting on the results, Chairman Noel N Tata said that Trent’s fashion business delivered category-leading growth on a higher base, supported by gradually improving customer sentiment. He added that the company remains confident about its medium-term outlook and continues to focus on portfolio expansion, product elevation, and enhancing in-store experiences.

Trent also reiterated its ambition to build a sizable direct-to-customer business across segments. In its Star food business, own brands now contribute over 74% of revenues, although the company acknowledged that store expansion has been slower than planned. For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, Trent reported a 16.5% increase in revenue and a 7% rise in net profit, underlining sustained momentum across its retail portfolio.
