As digital adoption grows among senior citizens, so do the risks of online fraud. In response, Truecaller has partnered with Khyaal, a dedicated platform for senior citizens, to enhance online safety for India’s aging population.
The collaboration combines Truecaller’s caller identification and spam protection technology with Khyaal’s deep engagement with older adults, aiming to prevent fraud and ensure safer communication.
All Khyaal members will receive an exclusive 50% discount on Truecaller Premium, unlocking access to advanced features like enhanced spam blocking, fraud detection, and detailed caller information. But the initiative goes beyond just tech-it’s also focused on education.
The two companies will co-create a suite of educational content tailored to seniors, including:
- “New Scam Highlights”: breaking down recent fraud tactics,
- “Spot the Scam”: interactive workshops and contests,
- Practical guidelines for managing unknown callers,
- Real-life testimonials from Khyaal users who have avoided scams.
These will be offered via the Khyaal app and through on-ground activations, including the “50Above50” event, where seniors can attend awareness sessions and visit dedicated safety booths for hands-on learning.
Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Global CEO of Truecaller, said, “The digital world offers immense opportunities for seniors, but also real risks. This partnership equips them with the right tools and knowledge to stay safe.”
Hemanshu Jain, Founder & CEO of Khyaal, added, “This initiative addresses a growing crisis. By blending technology with education, we’re helping seniors protect their independence and financial safety.”
