Varun Berry has stepped down as Executive Vice-Chair, Managing Director, and CEO of Britannia Industries, concluding a remarkable 13-year journey with the company. His resignation came on November 6, a day after Britannia appointed former Birla Opus chief Rakshit Hargave as its new MD and CEO for a five-year term. In his farewell note to chairman Nusli Wadia, Berry expressed gratitude for the support received and pledged to assist in the leadership transition. With over three decades of experience across PepsiCo and Unilever, Berry leaves behind a legacy of transformative growth at the biscuit major.
