Yes Bank has appointed Vinay Muralidhar Tonse as Managing Director & CEO-designate for a three-year term, following approval from the Reserve Bank of India. Tonse will officially take over the role from incumbent Prashant Kumar on April 6, 2026. A veteran banker with over 35 years of experience, Tonse previously served as Managing Director at State Bank of India, where he led retail operations and managed a retail book of nearly $800 billion, bringing extensive expertise in retail, corporate, and international banking to the role.
