Kapil Sharma Leads Policybazaar’s New Ad Campaign on Smart Car Insurance Choices

Policybazaar has launched a new ad campaign featuring comedian Kapil Sharma, aiming to promote smarter car insurance buying through policy comparisons. The campaign includes two humorous films that highlight how skipping comparisons can lead to overspending.

In the films, Sharma delivers his signature comic take-joking about a Zebra buying a car and insurance without using Policybazaar. He then quips that those who fail to compare are not Zebras, but “Gadhas” (donkeys). The ads cleverly drive home the importance of using Policybazaar’s platform to explore better insurance options and save money.

“The humour is intentional, but the problem is real,” said Samir Sethi, Head of Brand Marketing at Policybazaar. “Whether your car is brand new or not, buying insurance without comparing prices often means overpaying. Our message is simple: be smart, compare first.”

Creative agency MagicCircle, which conceptualized the campaign, leaned into Sharma’s comedic style. “We thought, what would Kapil say if he had to explain why comparing insurance matters? That’s how ‘Zebra nahi Gadha’ was born,” said Dheeraj Renganath and Natwar Singh, co-founders of the agency. “With this quirky visual and strong message, we knew the campaign would cut through the clutter.”

The ads combine relatability, humour, and a clear call to action-encouraging consumers to avoid blindly buying car insurance and instead use Policybazaar’s tools to make informed, cost-effective choices.
