Ahead of Friendship Day, the campaign explores how friendships fade when romance enters the picture.
Bingo! has unveiled a new digital campaign for Friendship Day titled ‘From BFF to FF – Forgotten Friend’. Conceptualised by Tonic Worldwide, the campaign sheds light on the all-too-familiar dynamic where close friendships fade once romance enters the equation.
Drawing on a relatable insight, the campaign uses humour to explore how shifting priorities can impact long-standing friendships. Through digital films and social media activations, it highlights everyday scenarios-missed hangouts, delayed replies, rescheduled plans, and a growing emotional distance between once-inseparable friends.
The campaign also features influencer tie-ups and encourages users to join the conversation by sharing their own #FF (Forgotten Friend) stories. Selected entries stand a chance to win exclusive branded merchandise.
Josna Joseph, Senior Creative Director at Tonic Worldwide, explained that the goal was to encourage reflection on evolving friendship dynamics-without losing the humour. “Our films take a PSA-inspired approach to spotlight those who feel left behind in friendships. Whether you’ve been that friend or know one, we want to open up a dialogue around it,” she said.
The campaign will run across all of Bingo!’s digital platforms leading up to Friendship Day.
