Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Meta have announced a strategic joint venture (JV) to develop and scale enterprise AI solutions tailored for Indian businesses and select international markets.

Investment and Structure

The collaboration involves a joint investment of approximately INR 855 crore, with RIL holding a 70% stake and Meta holding 30%. The venture aims to bridge India’s growing enterprise needs with advanced AI technologies, bringing scalable, accessible, and sector-specific solutions to the forefront.

Key Focus Areas

The JV will leverage Meta’s open-source Llama models and RIL’s digital ecosystem to deliver:

  • Enterprise AI Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS):
    A secure, full-stack environment enabling businesses to customise, deploy, and manage generative AI models across various functions.
  • Pre-configured AI Solutions:
    Ready-to-use tools designed for both cross-functional applications and industry-specific requirements, helping businesses fast-track AI adoption.

Additionally, the JV will support flexible deployment options across cloud, on-premises, and dedicated infrastructure environments, offering enterprise clients control and scalability.
