Amazon has scaled up its Amazon Now ultra-fast delivery service, bringing 10-minute deliveries to select neighborhoods in Mumbai. With this expansion, customers in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai can now order thousands of everyday essentials and receive them within minutes.
To power this service, Amazon has set up 100+ micro-fulfillment centers across the three cities and plans to add hundreds more before the year ends. The curated assortment includes groceries, personal care, beauty products, electronic accessories, baby products, pet supplies, small appliances, and even last-minute festive essentials.
Samir Kumar, VP & Country Manager, Amazon India, said,
“When we launched Amazon Now in Bengaluru earlier this year, customer adoption exceeded expectations, with daily orders growing 25% month-on-month and Prime members tripling their shopping frequency. With this success, we’re expanding aggressively – adding micro-fulfillment centers across Bengaluru, Delhi, and now Mumbai – to deliver not just essentials in minutes, but also groceries and 40,000+ products within hours, and millions more the same or next day.”
Amazon Now uses tech-enabled, hyperlocal micro-fulfillment centers, strategically located near customer clusters. This approach allows the company to keep high-demand inventory close to neighborhoods, ensuring maximum speed, accuracy, and reliability.
The service reinforces Amazon’s mission of offering the widest range of delivery speeds – from minutes for essentials, hours for groceries, same-day delivery for over a million products, and next-day delivery for 4+ million items.
Amazon Now will continue rolling out to more neighborhoods in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, with plans to expand to new cities soon. Customers can check availability by opening the Amazon app and looking for the ‘10 mins’ icon on the top banner.
