TV Today Network reports ₹187.55 crore revenue in Q2, cost controls soften impact of ad slowdown

TV Today Network Limited reported a net loss of ₹2.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2 FY26), compared to a profit of ₹7.32 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹8.35 crore in Q2 FY25. The decline was driven by lower advertising revenues and higher exceptional expenses.

Revenue from operations stood at ₹187.55 crore, down 5.5% quarter-on-quarter and 9.3% year-on-year, while total income came in at ₹197.11 crore, compared to ₹212.42 crore in the previous quarter and ₹219.36 crore in the same period last year.

Despite revenue pressure, the company’s cost optimization efforts helped offset part of the impact. Total expenses declined 5.2% QoQ to ₹191.96 crore and were 7.6% lower YoY. Notably, production costs dropped to ₹21.12 crore, from ₹24.93 crore in Q1 FY26, underscoring ongoing efficiency measures.

Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹5.15 crore, down 48.7% sequentially and 55.4% YoY. However, after exceptional expenses of ₹7.61 crore, the company reported a loss before tax of ₹2.46 crore.

H1 FY26 Performance

For the first half of FY26 (April–September 2025), total income was ₹409.53 crore, marking a 24.3% decline from ₹540.90 crore in H1 FY25. Total expenses fell to ₹394.34 crore from ₹460.55 crore last year.

After accounting for exceptional items, profit before tax was ₹7.58 crore, while net profit stood at ₹5.28 crore, sharply lower than ₹59.78 crore in H1 FY25 – reflecting ongoing market headwinds and ad revenue challenges.
