The latest phase of Har Ghar Surakshit highlights how everyday online behaviour-from routine posting to location sharing—can create unintended security risks. Central to this effort is the newly launched Accidental Invitation App, an AI-built tool that evaluates a user’s digital footprint and assigns a personalised “Accidental Invitation Score.” The app also provides actionable recommendations to help reduce online vulnerabilities. The campaign cites industry data indicating that cybercrimes linked to social media have nearly tripled in India over the past five years, reaffirming the need for heightened digital caution.
Complementing the awareness initiative is the introduction of the Neo Digital Locks range, designed to make intelligent home security more accessible to mass consumers. Positioned as an affordable entry point into connected security, the Neo series features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, multi-access authentication, anti-theft alerts, video door phone integration, and emergency power backup. The range starts at ₹8,999, targeting rising adoption of digital locks across urban and emerging markets.
“For eight years, Har Ghar Surakshit has championed home safety as a shared responsibility. With the Accidental Invitation App, we are extending this mission into the digital realm. The Neo Digital Locks Range marks a strategic step in redefining intelligent security for modern Indian homes,” said Shyam Motwani, Business Head, LAS, Godrej Enterprises Group.
Godrej LAS reports that the Har Ghar Surakshit initiative has conducted over 1.7 lakh home safety check-ups, including 21,000 in FY26 alone. With digital lock adoption accelerating year-on-year, the company expects the Neo range to further strengthen its position in India’s expanding smart home security market.
