Omnicom Advertising Announces Revamped India Leadership Structure Ahead of 2026 Global Transition

Omnicom Advertising has unveiled a renewed leadership and organisational framework for its India operations, setting the stage for one of the network’s most extensive restructures ahead of its global transition scheduled for January 1, 2026. The announcement, shared internally with senior leaders, outlines a refreshed mandate designed to strengthen strategic focus, deepen creative integration, and align India with Omnicom’s global vision.

At the helm of the reimagined structure is Prasoon Joshi, who takes on the role of Chairman, Omnicom Advertising India. Working alongside him is Aditya Kanthy, appointed President and Managing Director, who will oversee all agency operations across the network in India. Both leaders will collaborate closely with Sean Donovan, President, Omnicom Advertising Asia, ensuring seamless alignment with regional priorities.

Strengthening the strategic backbone of the organisation, S. Subramanyeswar (Subbu) has been elevated to a dual role – Chief Strategy Officer, OA India, and Chief Knowledge Officer, OA Asia – signalling a deeper investment in insight-led growth across markets.

As part of the reorganisation, leadership across Omnicom’s agency brands has been clearly defined. McCann India will now be led by Dheeraj Sinha and Rahul Mathew, while Josy Paul continues to spearhead BBDO India, with additional leadership updates expected soon. TBWA\Lintas will operate under joint leadership from Govind Pandey and Prateek Bhardwaj, strengthening its creative and operational cohesion.

In the digital ecosystem, Omnicom is consolidating Kinnect and 22feet Tribal into a unified entity led by Chandni Shah as CEO, with Rohan Mehta stepping up to enhance digital integration across the network.

Donovan emphasised that India’s scale, talent strength, and market maturity required a tailored adaptation of the global model, ensuring stability while unlocking new growth pathways. The organisation is now developing detailed operational plans in preparation for the 2026 transition, aiming to create a future-ready, client-centric Omnicom India.
