Kansai Nerolac Turns to Gen AI to Spotlight Cooling Innovation with Perma NoHeat Campaign

Kansai Nerolac Paints has launched a new digital campaign for Nerolac Perma NoHeat, using generative AI to reimagine how product benefits can be communicated at scale. The two-ad campaign has been scripted by Rediffusion and fully created using Gen AI by Aesthetic Intelligence Lab, marking a significant step forward in AI-led advertising within the Indian paint category.

The campaign features entirely AI-generated films that combine cinematic visuals with a high degree of realism-an approach that would be extremely difficult to execute through traditional production methods. By leveraging advanced AI tools, the films deliver imaginative storytelling while maintaining premium production quality, setting a new benchmark for Gen AI-powered creative work in Indian advertising.

At the core of the narrative is Perma NoHeat’s promise of reducing surface temperatures by up to 15°C. The films bring this benefit to life through a playful visual metaphor, where Arctic animals such as penguins and polar bears are drawn to Indian homes coated with Perma NoHeat. This unexpected contrast reinforces the product’s cooling performance in a memorable and engaging manner.

According to Rediffusion, Gen AI enabled the team to bring bold, previously “unshootable” ideas to life without creative compromise. Aesthetic Intelligence Lab highlighted how AI-driven workflows allow for greater consistency, scalability, and speed while delivering high craft quality for digital-first audiences.

Beyond cooling, the campaign also underscores Perma NoHeat’s broader benefits, including superior whiteness, crack-bridging properties, strong adhesion, and a three-year waterproofing warranty. Kansai Nerolac positions the product as a sustainable, technology-driven solution developed using Japanese expertise.

The 30-second Hinglish films will roll out across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, with regional adaptations aimed at increasing awareness and consideration among Indian homeowners as temperatures continue to rise.
