Janardhan Pokala, Ex-Atlys Brand Head, Launches Independent Agency KALI

Janardhan Pokala, former Brand Head at visa services start-up Atlys, has co-founded KALI, a multidisciplinary creative agency positioned as an integrated alternative to fragmented agency models.

Headquartered in Delhi, KALI will operate across brand strategy, mainline advertising, digital, film, still production and emerging technologies. The agency aims to bring strategy, creativity and execution under one roof, addressing what Pokala describes as growing silos within the creative ecosystem.

According to Pokala, the modern agency landscape often separates specialists across platforms and functions, leading to diluted accountability and inconsistent output. “Creative, strategy and execution need to sit at the same table,” he said, adding that at KALI, teams involved in conceptualisation will remain engaged through to final delivery.

The agency draws inspiration from culturally influential creative shops known for strong points of view and ownership of their work. Pokala indicated that KALI intends to prioritise bold thinking and integrated storytelling over incremental execution.

At Atlys, Pokala led brand and creative strategy across India and international markets, helping shape the company’s identity during a period of rapid growth. With over a decade of experience across agencies and brands, he has worked on building narratives and campaigns across categories.

KALI will serve brands across India, positioning itself as an independent creative partner focused on cohesive storytelling and end-to-end brand building.
