Devyani International, the operator of KFC and Pizza Hut in India, has appointed its current CFO Manish Dawar as CEO, effective April 1, replacing Viraj Joshi, who will continue as a non-executive director. Dawar has been with the company since 2021, while Anupam Kumar, Executive Vice President – Finance, will step into the CFO role. The leadership change comes amid a rise in quarterly losses and alongside the company’s announced $934 million merger with Sapphire Foods.
