ixigo Trains and ConfirmTkt have partnered with Swiggy to integrate on-train food delivery directly within their apps, making meal ordering more seamless for passengers.
With this integration, travellers can now browse and order from a network of over 40,000 restaurants across 160+ railway stations. The service allows users to place orders as early as four days in advance and up to 30 minutes before the train reaches the selected station. Features like real-time order tracking and berth delivery ensure a smoother and more convenient experience during journeys.
The partnership significantly expands food choices for passengers, offering a mix of national brands and regional favourites. To build trust and reliability, Swiggy is also introducing an ‘assured delivery or full refund’ promise for orders placed through the platform.
This collaboration reflects the growing demand for better food options during train travel, especially for long-distance passengers. It also aligns with evolving consumer behaviour, where users increasingly prefer ordering meals digitally rather than relying on pantry services or station vendors.
By combining ixigo’s large rail user base with Swiggy’s strong logistics and restaurant network, the integration aims to enhance convenience, improve food quality, and bring a more personalised dining experience to train journeys across India.
