OpenAI Turns Everyday Moments into Stories with ChatGPT IPL Campaign

OpenAI has launched a new India-focused campaign titled ‘Everyday Superheroes’, celebrating how people are using ChatGPT to solve real-life problems. Timed with IPL 2026, the campaign runs from April 13 to May 31 and taps into the cultural scale of cricket to drive relevance.

At the heart of the campaign are seven films, each set in a different IPL host city, showcasing relatable, everyday scenarios-from work and education to daily chores-where ChatGPT acts as a practical problem-solving companion. Directed by Abhinav Pratiman and produced by Early Man Film, the films aim to highlight real use cases in a simple, human way.

OpenAI has also partnered with major IPL franchises, including Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Rajasthan Royals, integrating the brand into the cricket fan experience.

Two key initiatives extend the campaign’s engagement. The ChatGPT Match IQ Award recognises the smartest in-game decision, while #FullFanMode, a custom GPT experience, allows fans to create personalised team posters and participate for match ticket giveaways.

Spanning 150+ TV channels and 25+ digital platforms, the campaign is being rolled out in nine languages, reinforcing ChatGPT’s accessibility across diverse audiences.

With this campaign, OpenAI positions ChatGPT not as a complex AI tool, but as an everyday assistant-making problem-solving feel simple, intuitive, and human.
