Crocs Brings ‘Wonderfully Unordinary’ to India, Lets the Monsoon Do the Storytelling

Crocs has launched the India chapter of its global ‘Wonderfully Unordinary’ platform, choosing the monsoon as the backdrop for a campaign anchored by brand ambassador Rashmika Mandanna and a roster of homegrown creators.

The global platform, launched earlier this year, builds around the idea of celebrating individuality. India’s adaptation translates that into something more local and seasonal, leaning on the unpredictability and energy of monsoon as a narrative device rather than just a visual mood board. The film opens with Mandanna confined to a stylised, conformist world, only for the first rains to mark her shift into a freer, more vivid universe the moment she steps into a pair of Classic Ballet shoes.

From there, the film hands the spotlight to creators Swayam Siddhi, Kevin Zhingkai, Krithi and Aryan Katoch, each contributing a vignette built around unexpected self-expression, from a sitar performance staged amid the rain to an unconventional horseback ride through the city. The chaos of the season becomes the connective tissue, turning ordinary urban moments into something more theatrical.

Crocs CMO Carly Gomez called monsoon one of the brand’s most important moments in India, framing the campaign as proof that individuality, while a universal idea, still needs distinctly local voices to land. Director Achowe echoed that intent, noting the goal was less about showcasing product and more about capturing the ease and personality Mandanna brought naturally to the shoot.

Conceptualised by Kulfi Collective and produced by Calk & Cheese, the campaign is now live across digital, social and retail as a full 360-degree rollout.
