JioHotstar’s Father’s Day Campaign Turns Screen Time Into Bonding Time

JioHotstar marked Father’s Day with “Stories to Share with Dad,” a campaign built on the idea that shared entertainment can deepen father-child relationships beyond everyday small talk.

The initiative stems from a simple observation: conversations with fathers often stay confined to practical check-ins and routine updates. JioHotstar’s campaign reframes storytelling as a bridge to more meaningful exchanges, using shared viewing as a catalyst for the conversations that families rarely get around to having.

Anchoring the campaign is a dedicated “Stories to Share with Dad” hub on the platform, curating films and shows centred on fatherhood, family ties, friendship, and personal growth across genres. The line-up spans both Indian and international titles, including Chhichhore, 12th Fail, Super 30, Jersey, and Bawarchi, alongside global favourites like Ford v Ferrari, Coco, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Interstellar, and The Greatest Showman.

Beyond the streaming hub, JioHotstar rolled out an AI-led brand film spotlighting storytelling’s power to connect generations. The campaign also stepped offline through a partnership with Swiggy for “BYD” (Bring Your Dad), an experiential activation centred on food, games, and shared activities designed to get fathers and children spending real time together.

Through “Stories to Share with Dad,” JioHotstar positions its platform as more than a content library, framing shared viewing as a tool for connection and using it to spark the unspoken conversations that often get lost in the everyday hustle between parents and children.
