PharmEasy has rolled out a new health awareness campaign, “You Think It’s Viral,” aimed at tackling the widespread habit of brushing off every monsoon fever as a routine viral infection. The initiative encourages timely medical consultation, diagnostic testing, and preventive care during a season known for a spike in fever-related illnesses.
The campaign draws on data from Thyrocare’s Fever Package testing conducted between 2023 and 2025, which found that nearly one in three fever cases could actually stem from more serious conditions such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya, or typhoid. PharmEasy is using this insight to push back against self-diagnosis and self-medication, both common practices during monsoon months when home remedies and over-the-counter drugs often substitute for proper testing. Left unchecked, such delays can heighten risks tied to bacterial and vector-borne infections, including platelet drops from dengue or intestinal complications from typhoid.
As part of the rollout, PharmEasy will publish educational content across social media in the coming months, covering prevention, vaccination, testing, and treatment for common monsoon illnesses. The campaign features medical experts Dr. Sudarshan Lamture and Dr. Pratishtha Shrivastav, who will break down symptoms often confused with viral fever, alongside nutrition expert Sakshi, who will offer dietary guidance for gut health and recovery.
Influencers Mohnish D and Piyanshi Mehra, along with a network of user-generated content creators, will help extend the campaign’s reach – making credible health messaging more relatable and shareable for everyday audiences navigating monsoon health risks.
