Yakult Danone India has unveiled a new television campaign featuring brand ambassador Taapsee Pannu to introduce the refreshed taste of Yakult Light Mango Flavour, reinforcing its focus on combining health benefits with consumer preferences.
The updated probiotic drink has been reformulated following consumer feedback to deliver a richer mango taste while retaining its core nutritional benefits. According to the company, consumer research found that more than 80% of participants preferred the enhanced flavour.
Yakult Light Mango Flavour contains 6.5 billion live Lactobacillus paracasei Shirota (LcS) probiotic bacteria, along with Vitamins D and E. The drink is low in sugar and calories and is free from artificial flavours, preservatives and added colours.
Commenting on the launch, Eiji Amano, Managing Director, Yakult Danone India, said, “Innovation has always been at the heart of Yakult’s mission to improve people’s health through probiotics. Based on consumer feedback, we have enhanced the flavour of Yakult Light Mango to deliver a richer and more enjoyable taste. Supported by our new campaign featuring Taapsee Pannu, this launch reflects our commitment to combining scientific excellence with consumer preferences while promoting greater awareness of gut health.”
The campaign also highlights the importance of daily probiotic consumption and gut wellness, with Taapsee Pannu continuing as the face of the brand’s health-focused communication.
The refreshed variant will be promoted across television, digital and social media platforms as Yakult looks to strengthen its presence in India’s growing functional beverages market. Through the launch, the company aims to make scientifically backed probiotics more accessible and relevant for everyday consumption while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices among Indian consumers.
