HDFC Mutual Fund (HDFC MF) has completed one year of its investor education programme, Mission Samriddhi, an initiative focused on improving financial literacy among India’s armed forces personnel and their families.
Launched on Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, 2025, the initiative has conducted more than 130 financial awareness sessions across Army, Navy and Air Force establishments, benefiting over 15,000 defence personnel nationwide. The programme has expanded to key defence locations, including Patiala, Ambala, Agra and Aizawl.
Mission Samriddhi is designed to address the unique financial planning needs of defence communities by educating participants on mutual funds, long-term wealth creation, disciplined investing and informed financial decision-making. The initiative aims to strengthen financial resilience among serving personnel and their families.
To complement its on-ground sessions, HDFC Mutual Fund has also launched a dedicated missed-call helpline (73581 12345) exclusively for armed forces personnel, offering access to investor education resources and support related to mutual funds.
Commenting on the milestone, Navneet Munot, Managing Director and CEO of HDFC Asset Management Company, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the financial well-being of the nation’s armed forces through greater awareness and education.
As Mission Samriddhi enters its second year, HDFC Mutual Fund plans to expand the programme to more defence establishments across India, continuing its efforts to promote financial literacy and encourage disciplined long-term investing among defence personnel and their families.
