Swedish watch brand Daniel Wellington has named actor Sharvari as its brand ambassador for its watches portfolio in India, marking a fresh push to deepen its presence in the country.
The announcement was made at a launch event in Mumbai, attended by media, influencers, and retail partners. Sharvari will feature across the brand’s upcoming campaigns as Daniel Wellington looks to build stronger visibility and consumer connect in the Indian market.
The association comes on the heels of Daniel Wellington’s acquisition by Timex Group and is positioned as part of the brand’s broader growth strategy in the country.
Commenting on the appointment, Deepak Chhabra of Timex Group said the company was delighted to welcome Sharvari to the Daniel Wellington family, noting that India continues to grow in importance for the brand. He said the team wanted an ambassador who embodies the confidence and individuality of today’s consumer, adding that Sharvari brings an authenticity that aligns naturally with Daniel Wellington’s design philosophy. Chhabra further said the brand aims to build its India presence not just through campaigns, but by becoming part of everyday style conversations.
Daniel Wellington is known globally for its Scandinavian-inspired watches, characterised by minimalist designs and contemporary styling that have shaped its identity as a lifestyle accessory brand. The company said the partnership with Sharvari reflects its intent to expand deeper into the Indian market, aligning the brand’s design sensibility with a face that resonates with a younger, style-conscious audience.
With this appointment, Daniel Wellington joins a growing list of global watch and accessory brands turning to Indian celebrities to strengthen local relevance under Timex Group’s ownership.
